About Dames Online Elite

Checkers, also called draughts or damas, gets a wooden-table look in Dames Online Elite. The title screen hangs a red Checkers banner with a small crown over a Start button, all on dark vertical planks, and the board that follows is set and waiting: twelve white pieces at the top and twelve black at the bottom, on cream and brown squares.

Letters A to H and numbers 1 to 8 run around all four edges of the board, printed upside down on the far side. Two red ribbon tabs above it hold the sound and pause buttons.

The game is ancient and still popular today, thanks to simple rules that leave room for some sophisticated strategy, and it comes in many variations.
